Dark or light?
Which one is me?
I want to know
I have to know
Who to be?
What to do?
Dark or light?
Which one’s right,
For me?

Dark
Alone and cold
A nighttime stroll
When lovers meet
Secrets keep
Wind rustling through the trees
Sleeping
Black
Where vampires are the safest

Light
Bright, cheerful, colors
Awake, busy
When school happens
Walking the dogs
Running around
Laughing, running, screaming, kicking
The sun
The beach

I decided
I’m dark
Sitting alone in a corner
Not sheltered, but sheltering
Watching late-night movies with friends
Sleepovers
Pale skin
Moonlight
I’m in love with the moon
