Edge to the Truth
Yeah I'm a believer, I won't be beleaguered
And I do give a damn, about personal freedoms,
And I do have a plan to save us,
And I do believe we can adjust,
But just believing in not enough,
We have to act and stand tough,
Break free from the tight cuffs,
That envelope our lives,
We need to rebuff.
Don’t listen to the words that they speak,
Don’t follow the commands that they give,
Question authority and yourself,
And then question it again just to make sure.
Go against the norm and swim against the tide,
Break away from the status quo, you will break the lies
That they feed to you,
Listen to these words and make them your bible,
But question them unconditionally,
Take note of the things people do and how they act,
Ask why, ask how, ask where and when, ask what,
Live your life on these principles and you will edge ever closer to the truth,
But the truth is always distant, and is always perceived. To rephrase,
You will edge ever closer to YOUR truth. Not tainted by the mediocracy,
The lies of the democracy that doesn’t represent YOU and your voice,
Only when this happens you will be able to make judgment, so see clear,
And be free. Let go. Break away. Freedom.
