I am not sure how to provide a glimpse into this. It just came to me as a tittering bird on death.

Painful Degeneration

Torn from the ancient walls,

laid to rest in dust of ghosts.

Stroking these fatal flames of the sun,

wishing through the tears.

For a world to die without redemption,

losing faith under God.

Soaking up the earth,

into the flesh of death.

Forsaken by the chains,

rusting bones in the pit.

Denying existence from you,

striking the last match for illumination.

Carried into the wind by vultures,

to a land of nightmares.

Bathed in the blood of a village,

cold eyes dreamt of revenge.

Listed the sorrow as a song,

anguished poetry lost in the dark.

Wicked hearts torn down in rage,

scarred temple of angels burning now.

A wasteland of the dying,

scorched by the fumes of war.

Skeletal deformities lie,

this is the end melody of life on earth.
