Tomorrow the Angel Falls

Watching the sunset through teary eyes,

saying goodbye to a love of the soul.

A memorable love passed down,

written in a book from a thousand poets.

Now in the dust of the flame,

standing behind these tear drops and I can’t I love you.

I can fight through hell,
walk to the bottom of the sea.
I can’t lie to my heart anymore,
the rain clouds became my angel.
Tomorrow you will go away,

left alone in the silver basked moon.

Speaking softly into the breeze,
hands in my pockets with pain.
Gripping a dead rose,

placing my heart on the mantel again.

Lifting my hazel eyes to your stone like face,

torn down like an abandoned building.

Touching your face for the last time.

A velvet feather of light upon my weary soul,

your voice touches my heart like a hot poker.

Sending shivers of pain and pleasure through me,

My eyes closed in luxury of this sacred moment.

Please take me away from my hell,
sinking away from your arms again.
Clawing at the dark purple gown,

your face disappearing into the darkness.
