I can see teapots flying and sugar pots dancing. A man with quite an excentric hat is inviting me to dance. I'm going towards him when suddenly, a rabbit runs by, saying it's too late .. « Too late for what ? » I wonder. Suddenly I wake up. It was a dream.

I'm in a bed, quite a luxurious bed actually . It's made of gold and wood with roses painted on it and roses sewn on my quilt. But that is the problem : it is not my quilt and not my bedroom. The last thing I remember is my dream and before that, falling asleep against a tree next to my sister and my mother. I go and see in the mirror in the corner of the room. Phew ! It's me, Alice ! I then go and look for clues in the wardrobe. I can't find anything but there are gorgeous dresses and ì wonder who owns them. Finally, I decide to leave the bedroom to find someone that could explain to me what is going on. The house seems to be a fairytale castle in fact. I find a guard .. but he is asleep. And a second one … but he is asleep. And the king and queen... but both of them are asleep as well ! However, there is a family portrait with the royal couple and between them a young girl wearing one of the dresses I had seen in the wardrobe. I suddenly realise that I am the young girl in the picture! I am the king's and queen's daughter ! I must be a princess ! Okay calm down … Let's look for more clues ! I go outside and jump in fright. There are villagers everywhere but they are all asleep ! I try to wake one up but he is sleeping so soundly it makes me thinks of a fairy tale my mother once told me. I think its name was something like « Sleeping beauty ».... Ohhhh ! All of sudden I understand. I don't know how and why but I am « sleeping beauty » and this time, everyone is asleep appart from me  .

In the story, what got her out of her enchanted sleep ? A prince ! I need to find a prince ! I spot a man asleep on his horse and pull him off. Gently, of course. I finally manage to climb on the horse's back and ride towards a signpost. On it is written : «  To your left, The haunted Halloween castle, Straight ahead, the Dark and Mysterious forest, To your right, the Prince's Castle ». So I turn to the right and see a little path with pink and purple flowers on both sides of it, and blue and white butterflies and singing multicoloured birds : it is definitely that way. I am riding on this path when I notice a garden gnome holding a trumpet in the middle of the path. He motions for me to stop my horse and plays an annoucement melody on his trumpet. « Welcome to the Prince's Castle, Alice ! The prince will be waiting for you in the royal throne room » he announced. « What ? How did you know I was coming ? » I exclaimed. « A bluebird told me and bluebirds know everything. » he explained. I say thank you to the garden gnome and ride to the castle. When I get there, I see a manger with hay so I leave my horse there, hoping he won't run away. I enter the castle. At my feet, there is a red carpet from the entrance to the throne and an alley of white pillars with purple bows hanging from them. I lift my head up and see the prince. He is handsome (of course ) but he seems a bit too vain. He has been talking to me about all his trophies, and his beauty and his horses for an hour and I still can't say a word ! Finally he stops talking : «  So why did you come to see the smartest and most handsome prince on earth ? I mean myself of course !  » he asks. So I explain my story and finish by saying that the only solution to save all of the villagers is to kiss him. As surprised as I was, he agrees to do it. He lean towards me and kisses me. I ask a bluebird flying bye if the villagers are waking up. He apologizes but says that no, they are still asleep. Although the prince insists to try again, I politely refuse : once is enough. I leave the castle and sadly climb back up on my horse. I go back on the path towards my castle when halfway there, a ladybird scares my horse so he jumps with fright making me fall on the ground and then runs off. I start crying because I am sitting alone on a path, even though it must the prettiest one I've ever seen. Suddenly, I hear a soft voice behind me. «  Are you alright miss ? » he says. I turn around and see a farmer with eyes as blue as the sky and hair as bright as the sun. I don't answer but he helps me up and offers me his help to go back to my village. I accept gratefully. But first of all he wishes to know my story. So on the way there, I tell him everything. My situation right now but I also talk to him about my family and my dreams ... Then he tells me his story : his horrid childhood, his dad's death.. but also his dreams and more ..When we get to the village, we are both silent. We get to the castle, I take his hand and lead him through the castle to the ramparts. We are watching the sunset together when I turn towards him : «  It's so beautiful .. » I whisper but he turns to me : «  No,you are beautiful but you're also so brave and generous . It doesn't matter if your solution didn't work because I know that you have tried your best and your heart knows that too. I've only met you this afternoon but I am in love with you. ». I look at him in the eyes and kiss him. All of a sudden, I hear a yawn and when I look towards the village, I see people waking up ! «  You are a golden-hearted prince ! » I exclaim.

After a night of village celebration, I tumble into my bed after a very long day.

I wake up and I am against a tree. My mother and sister are next to me.

Wow. It was only just a dream.
