Here's a poem I wrote about me and my BF before we became close...

The Difference

The whiteness surrounds them,
The world is a desolate wasteland.
The brown and white overcomes them,
Plain as a grain of sand.
His eyes meet hers across the way,
Sky blue meet icy grey,
The earth burst into vivid May,
The shock of electricity plain as day
The experience leaves them wanting more,
But both afraid to move,
They sit in silence,
Feeling worlds away.
They sit far apart in their respective worlds,
Hers filled with endless jabber and fights,
His with silence that goes on forever,
Neither knowing the others plight.
