She stands

She sits alone, put to the back of the room. Lonely, needing someone to help her, to find her. She can't take the pain that life inflicts upon her. She can't take the images that are forever burned into her head. The taunting words twist inside her head. Making her stomach hurt, she can't take it, she won’t take. All her life people have brought her down. All her life people have made her feel like she was not worth having a life. But today it ends. Today she stands for herself. She stands for the one thing she has left in this world. She stands for her life. Today she STANDS. No longer will the words of others inflict wounds, but only bounce off her like she has a shield of confidence. No longer will the images burned into her memory, flash like a horror movie in her head, but only as broken memories sealed in a box in the back of mind. She stands, walks to the front, turns to give a finale nod to the past. And leaves she leaves the broken hearted girl that was tormented by others and sickened by burning memories. She leaves behind the girl that sat in the back, shunned by all who passed. She leaves the weak, lonely, unwanted girl behind her, and starts for her new begging. And She Stands.
