What do they see?

When they look at me?

Do they probe into mine,

As I do theirs?

I look into the past,

They see the future.

Do they judge me?

Look upon me with rejection?

Know that I'm a failure?

A loser?

One regret too many, too many sins to be absolute.

What do they see?

When they look at me?

I look into their eyes,

Their lifeless eyes

And I know its just a picture,

It can't harm me, it can't judge me.

But in the dark,

Do they shift?

Do they turn away?

Not wanting to look anymore....

Not wanting to see what I"ve become,

What they will become.

It's only a picture....

A mirror.
