Up and down the court, court

Not too big, not too small

Goes my favorite sport, sport

An orange basketball

It swishes through the net, net

It bounces on the floor

The crowd is loud and restless

They glance up at the score

They dribble and they pass, pass

They find an open man

He takes the three at the bell

And in the hoop it lands

They shout with joy; they yell, yell

They put "hero" in his name

Shaking hands with the other team

They meet their eyes and say

"Good game to you and to your team"

"We hope to play again"

For sometimes when you lose, lose

You learn more than when you win.
