I have done it again
Cold metal
Touching the flesh

Of a long lost love
Wet and dull
It takes more than one

Movement alone—
To cut like it used to
How I like it

My face is a lighter shade of pale
these days
My lips turning whiter

as my fingers graze the surface
Jumping over the bumps—
patches of torn skin

A gust of wind
blows through the house
Though the windows are shut

The windows are shut, yes—
and yet a breeze blows through
knocking it out of my hands

Out of my hands, it falls
to the floor as a silent
pin drop

Silence, you came to me
through a breeze
in a dark house
