If you don't know what synesthesia is then please research it to make sense of this poem! This condition fascinates me and I wanted to capture in this what my friend (a synesthete) has told me of what she sees! And I also thought, whilst you were at it you could learn to spell it, so it became an acrostic! :)

Sandwiches dipped in perfume
Yellow lemons caught in a net
Nine coated pine trees are dancing
Engine oil watery wet
Sandcastles coated in honey
Yeast grains red from the sun
The scent of a tangy green bat
Humming all meshed into one
Eels mixed with bright purple onions
Sugar being burnt to a crisp
Icicles melting from breadcrumbs
All senses caught in a twist
