Life at home can be a pain,

When you doubt your mothers sane.

One day its nice, you almost fly,

The next she screams making you want to cry.

So harden up now, keep emotions at bay,

Don't let anyone take your spirit away.

Sure you won't trust, you won't laugh;

But at least you won't be scarred by her wrath.

And maybe...just maybe one day,

Someone will chase those tears away.

They will break through your shell,

And in comes sweet freedom's smell.

But whatever you do,

When she comes yelling at you;

Don't take her words to heart.

And don't you dare start,

To harm your health

and cut yourself.

'Cause no matter how bad you feel you are.

Or how good it feels to have that painful scar,

Remember this;

You are never worthless.
