My voodoo doll
Made of Gothic rags
Drowning all alone inside her chest

Each stitch upon her flesh, a memory
Punctured with pins and needles
Imprisoning her within
A locket of another's sins

She tries not to deal, feel each poke upon her flesh
Each needle, a scar across her heart
Watching the blood drip stains down her dress
Glistening on her eyes, reflections of death

Why doesn't she comprehend
Why isn't she unable to differentiate
The horror of him from her
Perhaps the answer is simple
She was unable to know herself to begin with
