Looking at the scanners on my ship I found myself in an uncharted region of the Outer Rim. Those damn Sith fighters back at Xerion Zeta had done damage to the Hyperdrive on my transport. I could not get far, so I decided to try for Lerias sector, about 240 Light years away. I hoped that the Living Force would guide me as well. But instead I found myself in this nearly empty section of space, my droid an old D4-9 series repair droid went to work repairing other systems as soon as we showed up here. The system was a White Dwarf Binary, not much light, and three worlds, two rocky, barren planets and a large gas Giant. There were a number of dense asteroid belts passed the planets. "What a damned, desolate place this is, and I thought Tatooine was bad." I said to myself, and I guess to D4, though the little droid chripped away as it worked on the comm systems. I turned to him, I say him as D4 did have a "male" personality program and asked him.."How are the comms coming along D4?" He chripped and whirred away, the translation came up on the display screen, not good was his response. Only about 3 parsecs worth, if that, though the heavy mineral content of the asteroids did not help. "Damn..alright D4, how are the sensors?" He again responded with a dire response, the long range sensors were out, and short range was at a quater of what they should be.

I shook my head and told D4 to continue, I was getting frustrated with this, I tried to calm myself with a meditative tool. Trying to remember the words of Master Gerion, "Calm, Peace, these are the ways of the Jedi, find and seek control of your emotions, and you shall be one with the Force, and the Lightside." His words echoed, distant though, then..I felt something, out there in the darkness, among the floating asteroids. Focusing I sensed a tremor in the Force, near me. How could that be, there were no lifeforms, as far as I could tell. Maybe some Hermit Jedi, or Force help me a hidden Sith Base. I did another scan as best I could, then I found it.. There was a large metallic mass about 100,000 kilometers off the Port Bow of my ship, and it was moving in a slow orbit arround the Binary star, though this mass was a good ten million or so Kilometers from the Binary. Hmm.. my curosity got the better of me. Thrusters still worked as did the sublight engines, thank the Force for that. I plotted a safe path through the asteroid fields, about seven or eight rings of various sizes and orbits. It was slow going, with the thrusters, taking hours to get through, I didn't want to risk anymore damage to my ship. That plus, I felt a sense of coldness and fear about this place, and it got stronger as I got closer to the large metal mass. I directed D4 to continue with repairs, as I piloted the ship towards the mass.

Several hours later, as I cleared the last asteroid field, I saw it, orbitting the large Gas Giant planet, which according to sensors had six moons. It was not a ship as I first thought, it was a space station, an old looking one at that. A derlict, consisting of four large, thick verticle pylon structures connected by a large habitat ring of somekind. And in the center of that ring was a large spherical command hub, connected to the ring by four, large tubes. My sensors detected no power systems on, nor weapons systems actiavted or shields, and as far as I could tell, no lifeforms. I tried to analyze the age of the thing, but I got strange, conflicting reports. The design was unknown too, as was the surface, it didn't correspond to any known metals and minerals. "Well this is just damn odd.." I thought to myself. "D4 are you sure the sensors are working right now? for short range and detailed scans?" He whirred and clicked as if annoyed by my question, seeing the display, he confirmed a yes. "Sorry D4.." I said as I sighed, looking for a docking port, which I found on the lower half of one of the pylons. Each Pylon itself was roughly 900 meters from top to bottom, and about 100 meters wide and 80 meters thick. The tops and bottoms of each were slightly curved inwards, sort of like claws. I did find that a bit unsettling. The surport ring itself was about 500 meters across and the central hub was about 200 meters across. It was a big station, I could visiably see a number of turbolaser batteries along the pylons and the ring itself.

All this time I wondered and quite frankly being somewhat fearful, what the Hell happened to all the people? I calmed myself as best I could, remembering another lesson my master taught me. "Fear is a Path to the DarkSide, to becoming a Sith."  It was bad enough that in my Peoples' history, there were a number of Khas'Nar who became Sith. I was not going to add to that, not by a longshot. I collected my thoughts, and docked with the Station, carefully, as to not tear it or my ship apart. Was a seal was confirmed, and I checked twice to make damn sure, I sent in a probe droid, to scan for atmospheric and temperature conditions. And just as I thought, readouts showed Minus 250 Degrees Centigrate, and only 10 percent nonimal Atmosphere. Gravity was at two-thirds of normal. That was something at least. For a moment as the probe droid went through the abandonned and debris litered halls of this pylon, I thought I saw something move in the shadows. I directed the probe arround with full lights on, but there was nothing. "Get yourself together, you are a Khas'Nar and a Jedi, you fear nothing." I thought over and over, as I decided to take a closer look myself. I got into my survival suit, and linked the probe with my arm display. Placing the helmet over my head and face, the black  survival suit, which was armored with a number of Durasteel plates and woven polycron fibers, made it heavy, but flexible to a degree. For the first time I thought how much this looks a bit like Sith Battle armor. I shrugged off the thought, and told D4 to stay with the ship. Lightsaber in place on the belt ring, datapad in hand, and the light on my suit turned on, I went in.

I followed the probe droid on my display pad, tracing its location to an airlock, according to the scans I did, this airlock which was more like a huge blast door, led into one of the habitat ring's four main quadrants. Using the Force I opened the large door, the sound was loud and rumbling. Metal on metal, I thought well thats just damn great, I'll attract something for sure now. Sighing and annoyed, I enetered the quadrant, a large prominade area, with six tiered levels on each side of this wide, spacious plaza like area. Railed balaconies went along each side, from the second tier up and there were causeways and walking bridges overhead. To the left and right, between each housing and commericial block there were large viewing windows. On the left I would see the large spherical command center, to my right, space. Debris everywhere, yet no bodies, nothing. I went searching for eveidence of who or what lived here. Scavanging arround I found shops, resturantes, cantinas and casinos, the technology, though familiar was dated. And it seemed all manner of species of Aliens lived here, Humans, Rodians, Duros, Twi'leks. I could see old banners and found menus in a number of languages I knew. Basic seemed to be most predominate though, so prehaps Humans were most prevelient. And all over the place I found green banners with these black Diamond shapes that had a white four-pointed starburst in the center of these diamonds. I had the probe droid send recordings of these banners to D4 so he could determine what they were. As he was doing that I searched arround and came upon a security station. As a walked in I got a cold sense of dread and turned quick, lightsaber activated, its deep blue light illuminating the darkness, its hum, was to say the least a comfront in the silence. I saw something that greatly distrubed me, a pile of dead, long frozen bodies, chewed and clawed upon. Humanoid for the most part, as far as I could tell. Claw marks on the walls, and floors, and what looked like old blood stains as well. Something terrible happened here long ago, but what was it, what did happend here? I needed to know, I was being drawn, pushed to discover the secret of this tomb.

Taking a deep breath, I looked some more, finding old blaster burns and holes were blasters hit, spent blaster packs on the ground. Broken blasters on the the floor, a damn vicious firefight took place, and the defenders lost. Judging from some tattered clothing pieces, and what looked to be security armor, they were guards, yet that diamond symbol showed up on some of the uniforms. What did it mean? was it some Government symbol or a Corporation, or Religious Organization. I reported back to D4, he was still working on the symbol, the computer banks were damaged as well and it would take time. I acknowleged back to him, to keep working on it. Then I went back to hunting down the cause of what took place on this station. After a few hours of looking, and finding more dead bodies, mostly civilians, including younglings, it was high time to head to the Central command area. Here I am sure I would find anwsers to the puzzle. I located the airlock for this Quadrant to the tube that connected it to the Central Command area. A 300 meter long, 10 meter tall, 50 meter wide tube of Transparisteel windows and Durasteel walls. I started down this long hallway, and thats when I saw them, a group of creatures, humanoid looking approaching me. I was like how in the name of..?

It was then the things saw me, about 30 in all came running after me, snarling and hissing, I could see that they were not really alive. Holes and gashes in their bodies, teeth marks, their bodies pale and blue, yet they moved. They came at me fast, running like beasts hungry for food, I gave a yell and jumped at them, Lightsaber actiavted, slicing into them, one by one, sending them howling and screaming. They tried to bite and claw me, but thankfully the things could not get passed my armored suit. I dare not try to Force push them, as I could easily shatter a window port. Dodging, weaving in and out, even though I was weighed down, I was strong, and the suit's built-in servos helped. I cut down each one of these things, these for lack of better term Unliving creatures. As I sensed no life from them, yet there was a malevolent force in them. I sensed the Darkside in them, faint, yet it was there. I thought what in the Force could cause this, my knowledge of the Sith was limited, and what I did learn was behind my Master's back. The Jedi Temple on Coruscant forbidded any Jedi not of Master Rank to study the Sith. And I was just made a Knight, but my need to know, with great risk, outweighed such considerations. When I was done with the walking corpses I moved on, hand on my Lightsaber. I passed through the opened airlock door on the otherside and found myself on the outer area of the Central Sphere. And as I gussed, it was indeed a command center. I passed through an area of Guard barracks and supply rooms. There was evidence of firefights all over, blasters broken and used up, holes and blaster burns, and more dead bodies, torn wires and what looked liked holes made with grenades. This entire place was a war zone, and the people here lost. There were civilians and security, and what looked like officers where among the dead. A last stand was made in this area, barricades and the remains of boobytraps.

There were even broken droids, but they looked like battle droids, yet unlike anything I had ever seen. Hulking, black things, that looked like skeletons with armored plates on their shoulders, lower arms and lower lges. The heads of these things were enlongated and had three visual receptors, in a triangular configuration. And each appeared to have commlink antennae, a single antenna along the left side of their head. Visicious looking things, and some appeared to have intergrated blades and blasters in their arms. It wasn't until I got deeper into the Central sphere that I found, the possible cause. Black robbed figures, also long dead, long frozen lightsabers strewn about the rooms. Sith... if I could have spit I would have. So the Sith must have been responsible for this attack, those droids must have been Sith Battle Droids. It was their style to use monstrous and intimidating behemoths like that. But what about those undead things, was the Sith responisble for them too? I focused on getting in further, and after an hour or two, I happened upon the command center itself. A large, domed room with many computer terminals, though all ruined. There were more bodies and droids here as well, Sith and Defender alike. This was getting damn odd, what the Hell happened, I mean the Sith with their droids, should have taken the station. Were there just no survivors to this massacre? Why did the Sith come here in the first place?

Looking through the ruins, the scattered documents, I found a curious thing. It was an old plastisheet, not a common thing used these days. But it proved useful it read..

"Discovery made on Third Moon of the Gas Giant, here in System 3A-6 Beta, Old ruins discovered by mining team Alpha-4. Dating places it about 3,000 to 3,500 years before present Era. Several strange Artifacts found, including one red crystalline, pyramidal object with strange markings on it. As well as a black, ritualistic gauntlet, embedded with a red crystal on the top. There were also a number of ancient stone tablets with unknown writing on them, 12 in all. Science Officer Ryhon has called for all Mining to stop on the moon, until the Republic Archelogical Team can be contacted. I begrudgingly constented to the request. I just hope the Board of Directors for the NovaStar Mining Combine do not have my head for this. Every day we don't mine, we lose a million credits of ore mining and refining."

 Dated 21/09/30, CST 19:47 hours.

After I read this odd document, it began to dawn on me, this was a mining station, and that it discovered some old Sith Ruin. So thats why the Sith came calling, but this must have happened a long time ago. I shook my head, thinking of the dark times of the Ancient Sith and of the old Empire, it sent a shiver up my spine. Bad enough that the Sith were back, I was grateful they did not appearently know about this place. I was letting fear get the best of me. I dropped the sheet and went looking for more evidence. I reported back to D4, who did a cross check on NovaStar, it seemed they were an old Mining Company, back about 2,000 years ago. That they went out of business some 600 years ago. And from the few records found, this system I was in, was located in the distant Tyrenni Sector. I somehow come out of Hyperspace some 350 lightyears off target. I got a schematic of this station, called Tyrenn-7 and located the storage vaults. In the bottom of his sphere, in the cargo areas. I sighed and took a breath, deeply, and I headed down an access shaft. I felt that feeling of cold and dread again, but it got stronger as i went down. Making my way through a maze of corridors, and feeling as if something was watching me, and seeing shadows in the blackness. I found a large storage room, it was empty, except for a few things. First I could see a small, red glowing object in the distance, it was calling to me, I could feel its dark pull on my soul. And it was surrounded, by a lot of those damned undead things, they all turned to me, snarling and hissing, their eyes as black as space. Yet they made no move, standing still. Then I heard the voice in my head, cold and dark, whispering..

"Come closer, Jedi... And accept your fate.."

I moved closer, and found not only the Sith Holocron on a small metal pedistal but a large, black stone sarcophogus, adorned with many strange symbols and distrubing scenes of beasts and carnage. And curiously, Khas'Nar runes. The ancient language of my people, my eyes went wide and in disgust I turned away only to be confronted with a Dark Side spirit, its black, grey translucent form, looming tall infront of me. Hovering there like a grim, spectre of Death. It faintly, yet it was that of a Khas'Nar, the scales, the elongated snout, the fangs, the tusks of the lower jaw, the clawed hands. The robes and armor it wore, were that of a Khas'Nar Noble, yet Sith in someway.

"Who..who, are you?" I could only studder in fear and hate for seeing this thing, a Khas'Nar Sith, heard the stories, but I thought that, they were just stories. He smiled at me and closer he came to me, face to face. He spoke again, his voice hollow as a tomb, and cold as deep space.." I amThur'Nos of the House of Utuun." I again felt a shock of fear and disbelief.."That is the House of my Ancestors, how can this be?. Why are you here, dark Spirit?" He gave a hollow hissing laugh, and spoke.." I have been waiting for you my descendent, my heir, too long has there not been a worthy Sith Lord to lead the Sith. Weak and foolish beings lead the Sith, and to ruin. When long ago I was entombed, killed by my weak Human apprentice, he buried me on that moon. I swore to have revenge, and when my tomb was distrubed, I sent forth a dark curse. The curse of Undeath, upon those that lived here on this station. And when the Sith of later days, some 3,000 years ago in the past of this day, can to claim my treasures, they too felt my wrath. Yet here you are Kha'naus, my worthy Heir, take your birthright as you are my blood. You feel it do you not, in your soul. Cast off the ways of the weak Jedi, and join the Dark Side and lead the Sith, as a true Dark Lord!"

Standing there, before my Ancestor, a Sith Lord of great power, his words spoke to me. The Khas'Nar were oppressed by the old Galactic Empire, as we were not human. The New Republic freed us, but did nothing to help, we struggled for a long time. With the raise of the new Sith, we became slaves, soldiers. Those that escaped became free mercenaries, the young who showed Force Potential were taken by the Jedi, or killed by the Sith, or turned into mindless warriors. His words spoke to me, and touched my heart, my blood, I was Khas'Nar first. And by taking this, I would not only make the Sith suffer, I would change the face of the Sith, and rule them, and then free my people and lead the Khas'Nar to great things. I looked back at him and I spoke.. "I am yours, I am your student, my master.." I bent down to one knee and lowered my head. His cold, spirit hand went through my suit, into my body, his dark power flowed through me, the chill of Death. He laughed and started to fade.. "You have done well my apprentice, yet you need no master, you are you're own master. I give to you all my power, and knowledge. Take the Holocron, the Sith Talisman gauntlet, and the weapon inside my sarcophogus. And be reborn as Darth Kharnus, Lord of Sorrow!" These were his last words to me, his power and teachings now mine. I opened his stone sarcophogus and took from it a finely crafted Black and Chrome Sith Double Lightsaber. The Undead bodies that guarded his tomb, crumbled to dust as I left. His Lightsaber in my hand and his burial shroud, black as night in the other hand.

When I boarded my ship, I took off my helmet and placed the shroud upon my head, which covered my head and cloaked my face in shadow. All that was seen were my fierce, orange-amber eyes. The Eyes of a Sith Lord. My voice deep, and dark, I demanded to know the state of my small craft, my droid, just a tool to me, said everything was now in working order. I smirked and activated the Nav computer, setting my destination for Korriban, my left hand incased in the Sith Talisman guantlet. I put the ship into Hyperdrive, and set forth to the Sith Homeworld to claim my destiny and make the Galaxy tremble with fear...

For I am Darth Kharnus, Lord of Sorrow, Bringer of Ruin...
