For there it sits that poppy,

Remembering those who went.

A wonderful Beauty it looks,

But the meaning is as horrific as ever.

Red is for blood shed of those who died,

And green is for those who fought.

A poppy we shall wear,

upon out clothes to remember those.

I wear my poppy in pride,

It shall be a joy to remember those,

as it is sadness for them who died.

If there was one thing i could say,

I'd say "Thank you, for making this day,

your day!"
