On the other side I see your face.

You perfect features my fingers trace.

My eyes follow yours wherever they may go.

Your cheeks and lips with the brightest glow.

I whisper your name until I can no longer speak.

Your gaze so loving it makes me weak.

Hands are grasped and fingers entwined.

But there is something inside you I cannot find.

Close your eyes and dream of love.

And something magnificent opens above.

A word a gesture or ever a look.

All I know is that I stuck out my hand and that you took.

Memories have darkened as the space grows.

I gave you my love and that you chose.

But no more words or looks can compare.

To the sorrowful lonley frightened stare.

Breathe until all oxygen is gone.

And I'll run away and promise to take you along.

Take my hand like you did once before.

And in the future we'll see whats in store.

I adore you much more with every passing minute.

With love and the happiness of pursuit.

We'll get by I promise we will.

Our bodies will never be lifeless and still.

But still that space grows and your hand slips from mine.

What is this excuse, what is this sign?

I wish only for you to care for me like I do for you.

And tell me that everything that happened was still true.

But now I see you on the other side.

On the side I can't reach you do hide.

I wish that all that bad time would pass.

And I reach out to touch you but all I feel is hard cold glass.
