"If you were a melody, I would use only the good notes".
But here I am.
Lying in tears and agony.
Alone.

Stars of gold float to the horizon.

There they wait for the moon to come, its brilliant blue light.

Fighting the air and wind that threatens to blow them out.

But they all begin to fade one by one.

.

No fantasy will ever last a lifetime.

Eventually the hope dies of the soft lips of a love.

That touch, that feeling that we long for.

But sparks of endorphins slowly fade away.

.

Hands stretched out, barely touching your fingertips.

Your eyes show no lie, no fear, and no love.

I’m grasping, screaming, wanting, but no longer do we linger.

And your figure fades into the shadows.

.

I loved you until my heart broke.

I trusted you to take care of it, and that you wouldn’t tear it apart.

And now it is torn into a thousand little pieces.

Now I am torn into a thousand little pieces.

.

I wish for only you to remember.

Every touch, every feeling that we longed for.

All memories now lost into the distance and I am in the dark.

And I’m waiting, waiting for you to walk back out from the shadows.

.

I want to be back in your safe arms that make me warm.

I want you to want me.

If only a fantasy could last as long as the pain.

The pain that lingers, after the fantasy fades.

.

The tear that falls from my eye is the blue light of the moon.

And all the stars float up back to night, where I will linger always.

If only I could see your shadow against mine.

Then forever would we collide.

.
