About my best friend. I love him to death. Hopefully this will be a poem he will read.

This weight of bricks,

just sits on my chest.

Everyday is gets heavier,

and heavier.

Until I finally break,

and all those bricks come

tumbling down.

I try to pick up the pieces.

I try to put everything back together.

But it is useless.

There’s still holes

where pieces are missing.

But I still try,

hoping nobody sees the wreck I am.

But it’s too late,

all he wants to do is help,

he wants to help a friend in need.

I push and shove,

trying to get him to leave.

I give up,

I finally give up fighting

and let the tears flow down my face.

All the pain I’ve felt that i buried deep down,

it finally shown.

He embraces me and says

“You don’t have to do this all on your own”
