The Ugly Duckling

I'm one of few,
no glare insight of me,
for if they only knew
I'm stuck in this fog of extasy.

the hair,
the clothes,
the style,

I'm tired of living a lie
behind a mask of identity,
for all do they know
I'm stuck in this haze
a lie made known by you and me.

For better nor worse;
a tempting contemplate
were all made different,
unique and grand in living debate

For I'm like an ugly duckling,
so different and far apart;
for i'm gliding through the pond
trying to mend this broken heart.

Little did you know,
beyond and in between
I'm just another reflection
looking for equal right
to thrive and intervene.

For look on the pond
for i've been set free,
I feel of relief for I'm
gliding through the water
in this path of relief from all debris
.
