I remember I had always wanted to be a model growing up “Lilith… beauty”. Head to all the major cities, model all the greatest fashion designers of time, walk the runway, know I was beautiful. Then I became one, but reality hit one day in Italy. It was lonely work. Sure you could eat but some models took things real far and set a new “standard” for the rest of us. I wanted to quit and tried to get out of the business several times but I just couldn’t. It was my love.
“Would you mind letting me take you to a small café?” A man asked behind me. He looked so different from the guys I was used to. He wasn’t perfect but he was handsome. He wasn’t slick but seemed like a gentleman; just by the way he smiled and offered his hand. I began to blush then put back up my strong side.
“Sure,” I was nervous a camera would catch us together since my publicity boyfriend wasn’t with us, but when he said small he wasn’t kidding. “I’m sorry, what’s your name?”
“Nick,” He kissed my hand and pushed in my chair. “What’s yours?”
“Samantha,” I said not thinking of the consequences. He smiled at me sweetly and laughed.
“Hi Samantha...” I blushed and turned a deep crimson I grabbed my stuff and get up to leave. “No please don’t go, I was just kidding with you.”He smiled at me and showed his gorgeous white teeth.
“I’m Lilith, and I’m from New York. Ugh, man I have to go check in soon, I have a flight.” I sighed and tried to hide my emotions which I had always been able to do so well.
“Come with me!” He took my hand and we ran out the door and to a fountain in the park. I plopped on the grass panting and smiled at him. I leaned my head on his shoulder and starter to calm down.
“What if someone saw me?” I said smiling.
“Who cares? Let the world think what they want to believe.”We looked into each other’s eyes. His were hidden behind sunglasses, as we got closer my eyes began to close and our lips met. It was like the world stopped. We spent the day together and I blew off everyone there called my cell phone until it was time for me to leave.
“What’s your number?” I asked his sweetly smile we cuddled up together. He wrote it down and I wrote mine. He took my eye liner from the bag and wrote on his hand very sloppy. “Wish You Weren’t Far” I took it back and “Wrote Wish You Were Here” on mine. He took out his camera and smiled. I posed for the camera and showed my hand. He walked with me back to the hotel and when I finally got there he kissed me again.
“Nice meeting you beautiful.” I began to blush.
“Hot how you didn’t get my face in the picture?”
“I’m blind…” he took off his sunglasses.
“Then why did you think I’m beautiful? Because I’m a model?”
“No, because beauty is on the inside
