seventeen forever song based
Chrissie Anne sat across from me crying her eyes out at age sixteen. She cried as if she had lost the world… I didn’t know she almost did.
“I cant believe it,” She sobbed. “There’s a rumor going around I slept with him… for a connection! I didn’t though.”
“Don’t worry it will all go back to before, I promise.” I said trying to make her feel better.
“No it wont!”
“But at least you still have your innocence.” She was silent, holding something back. “Right?” A sense of jealously began to spark and her brown speckled eyes screamed help me.”
“I-I-He-…” She stuttered. I grabbed her shoulders gently and looked her in the eyes.
“Chris, just tell me, I wont be mad at you.”
“He took advantage and left me there crying…” Something inside me broke. My arms went limp and my eyes watered.
“You told me not to hangout with him. I should’ve listened just say it.” I pulled her into a hug. I knew he was bad news but the main reason I said that was because I was figuring out how to ask Chrissie myself.
“No, its not your fault.” I held her while she cried until eventually she fell asleep in my arms. I kissed her forehead and smiled as a tear rolled down my cheek. It landed and her nose and it crinkled. Chrissie woke up and kissed my forehead.
“I can feel your heartbeat…” She said blushing. It started to beat faster and she giggled. I went to kiss her but half way looked at her for approval. She popped up the rest of the way and smiled.
“I don’t want to do anything too fast, you’ve been through a lot.” When she was ready to leave I scooped her up and smiled.
The next few days of hanging out turned into weeks which turned into months. Chrissie Anne hit seventeen and I was there for her. When we finally were ready to go to the next level there was problem, I was eighteen… and her parents hated it.
She showed up at my apartment and asked to come in to talk, and then one thing led to another.
“My parents will kill you,” she said genuinely concerned but wanting me just as much… loving me just as much.
“You wont be seventeen forever, we can get away with thins tonight.” I replied smiling. “Besides, it feels like heaven when we touch.”
I was pretty happy, for a man that lost the love of his life that is I date just two girls since her and neither had filled the empty space she left me. I noticed I needed milk so I headed to the grocery store.
When I was there I saw a small child call for her mommy. I was turning to go help when she was right in front of me. I almost dropped my bags. I looked up and there was Chrissie Ann, but she looked different.
“Do you remember me?” She asked me half smiling.
“Oh how could I forget?” I replied and smiled until and man looking like a druggie came up behind her.
“Who’s this?” He asked. “The next guy dat gonna pay your rent?” He twirled her hair and smiled. “Didn’t think so, hurry up and get to the car, I obviously have to teach you something again.” She nodded and I could see the fear in her eyes. I watched helpless.
“Who’s daughter is she?”
“…Yours” she said nervously. It all made sense. She left so I wouldn’t get in trouble… “But I gotta go, he’s gonna kill me and if I don’t go now maybe Millie. I can risk anything else because I ran into a lost love…”
“Let me take Millie, she’ll be safe with me.” She was debating it. “You come too.”
He started stumbling down the aisle and her fear was back. I picked up Millie and grabbled Chrissie Anne’s hand and we ran to my car and drove off in the sunset.
