i believe there shouldn't be dress code in schools

There’s plenty of ways to express yourself, the music you listen to, art and drawing, dancing, writing, or something as simple as writing or speech, and last but not least, your clothing and the way you dress. Personally I think that is the best and most efficient one. I believe that schools shouldn’t have dress code. Kids shouldn’t have dress code because you should be able to wear what you want and be happy. This way kids can be unique and no one is the same, and kids can walk around without being told to fix their clothing or that their clothing is a problem, or even being sent home for dress code.

Dress code also usually discriminate against girls,People are teaching girls coming of age to accept their naked body and how they really look and then are telling the girls to cover up, because 'they are a distraction'. It's absurd, do shoulders bother you, well look away, it’s not their fault when people stare, I refuse to be taken out of class to go to the nurse's office to change out of my clothes because I had a hole in my jeans. Was I a distraction to the learning environment?? Did I disrupt the class?? The answer is no. If you are afraid that guys will be looking then teach the boys to control themselves, not the girls to be ashamed and hide the body they have. people should feel free to stand out, and to do what they want especially if it means expressing themselves We have to wear stuff that we don't want to. If we want to go to school in our undies then we can't. I think people should be able to express themselves. We buy clothes that we can't wear because it is inappropriate. But because we like the clothes we wear you should let us because it lets us express ourselves.

In a way I do agree with you and your argument but what I disagree with is the fact that you believe that some stuff isn't inappropriate and that some stuff doesn't effect the learning environment. In your article you stated that we discriminate girls and shame them for showing off some body parts such as the shoulders, I do agree that it should be the boys who need to control themselves but the girls also need to show pride and need to know that showing off some parts of their body in public is embarrassing. You said the shoulders but most of the time in todays generation, girls show off their private parts most of the time now. Girls need to know that what they are doing is wrong because it is only hurting themselves, they can get themselves in trouble and that it can be really embarrassing. I agree that students should be allowed to wear what defines them but I believe that it does get out of hands as well. Boys for examples sometimes wear gang uniforms or stuff like that with drugs and sex in the meaning of the shirt or outfit and to be honest that is really inappropriate in public schools even out of schools. People are watching others and they see what they do all the time and because of that, they might be getting a bad impression of them, even if that person isn't that bad. In conclusion I do agree with you believing that we should be able to wear what defines us and shows others how we are unique in our own way but we need to still have a bit of common sense involved with it too.
