I wrote this when I was 11 years old in seventh grade. It was for a descriptive paragraph assignment. I described a vivid sunset.

The evening sky, in the west, burns fiery red with a neon orange mix. The evening sun seems to be fading into a long deep sleep.  As the colorful sun drifts into the horizon, like a large golden curtain coming down after a spectacular Shakesoearean play, birds fly past the sunsey and sing a beautiful song, a lullaby to the colorful, setting sun.  As I sit on a rock at water's edge, I see the reflection of the now golden sunset rippling on the ocean.  The golden sand tickles my toes and flows through my fingers.  Looking back I see the imprints my footsteps have made on the sand.  Now the sun has sunk deeper into the western sky.  The colors are now rust red, with a gold lining.  As the sun rest her head on her pillow, I have to rest my head on mine.
