how do you describe darkness?

The howling wind whistles and the leaves dance; like perfectly arranged ballerinas performing, and twirling to the music of the wind.

The country yard clear and the sky dark; a shadowy realm covers the horizon.

Tiny lights that have everlasting power shine above, smiling at the country yard.
These little lights are painted above, although always in vision; the artist’s name remains unknown.
The leaves in the sketchy trees sway with the whistle almost dancing in tune.
Clouds scatter here and there, covering parts of the art with its condensed rain; soon to fall.
The day grows darker, turning into night, the beauty of darkness in indescribable.

Well written! Most atmospheric with excellent use of elements of nature to convey both message and mood.

Gave it an "I Like It" vote. Most deserved.

Would like it better if it made use of a format, more consistent with postry. Such as separate verses, employing both rhyme and rhythm. The presentation is more like a scene setting narrative for a short-story or novel. Still good, though.

In answer to your question: I don't believe in hectoring people by leaving messages on their Booksie web-pages to read just 1 of my postings. With a separate message for each posting. As many do. You'll find out.

This just leaves a lot of clutter on anyone's Booksie web-page. My preference is to introduce myself, just once, by:

1. Offering to be their fan while...

2. Inviting them to read my own postings. If they may wish to do so.

3. If someone does not wish to add me or read any of my postings, I'm OK with that.

I never ask anyone to be my fan, though I am most appreciative when they make the request. All such requests are honored, by me, unless someone may post a posting with objectionable content or may leave a comment which is insulting, incivil or abusive.

I do not insult, mistreat or abuse others and will not tolerate it from anyone else. In such cases, I delete the comment and, if needed, myself as their fan and them as mine. In some cases, I will inform Booksie management and request the abusive parties be removed from further Booksie participation. In the past, on rare occasion, this has happened.

Happy trails,

Ed Bradley.
