Hold your tongue,

and beating heart,

when shadows lurk...

within the dark,

this...the only time you hope you're mad.

X

A straight jacket,

would suffice,

when winged creatures,

make your dreams attrite...

all hope...you'll wake alive.

X

Pull your toes,

from the edge of bed,

while demons dance...

inside your head,

and pray to a lord with deafened ear.

X

The dimensions of,

the shadowed past,

watch from the other side,

of reflective glass,

and step thru when beliefs are growing weak.

X

Stare the closet down,

and wait in fear,

jump at sounds,

you "didn't hear",

feed the beast, and cry when it's too late.
