  Believe

I never believed in god.

I never believed in anything I couldn't see or touch.

I never believed in anything that couldn't be proven.

I never believed in spirits or ghosts, or of a heaven above.

But I always believed in those who believe in themselves.

And I always believed in love conquering all.

I used to believe that someday, we would all find the part of us we thought was missing.

I believed in this, until the day you left me on your doorstep, soaked in my own misery.

And now I hope my beliefs linger in your mind, even as my heart stops beating, and my body begins to parish.
