This is a dark poem about torture & murder, just a style I haven't really tried yet, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Melancholy Murder

No way to escape the destined execution,
A scream, a cry, the frights’ restitution.
The sky darkens as they plan to deploy,
Providing Man with the tools to destroy.

A knife through the hand, a nail in each finger,
Blood on the tips- to drip and to linger.
Sanity leaves as the whip begins to snap,
The nose smells the hot, supple leather strap.

Bones will crack, break and shatter,
Shards will fly, spread and scatter.
Nails to rip, toes to smash,
The hammer comes down with a painful bash.

Broken love in the shape of hot metal,
The piercing brand refuses to settle.
Disfiguration of the body carried out,
The deeds done with none of the doubt.

The blood pour clots, the heart beat slows,
The quiver of breath no longer flows,
The corpse now lay cold and unjust,
Melancholy remains with a murderous lust.
