Her name is Alice.

She loves babies and dresses,

She hates when her mama stresses.

Daddy is a salesman,

Brother going to be the mayor,

So she just kicks her can,

Says she'll be an photographer later.

Her name is Alice.

She wears her old tee-shirts,

Ribbons wrapping around her hair,

Walks with holes in her jeans,

Yet when it comes to her shoes,

She take good care.

Her name is Alice.

Never drinks,

Drives safe and slow,

Never once had her car ready to tow.

She stares at rainbow over her head,

I love the colors she always stated.

That when a drunk friend said,

Rainbows are overrated.

Her name is Alice.

At her house,

Twelve in the morning,

She takes her black and white pictures,

Always feels like she morning.

Dresses all packed up,

Mama stressing day and night,

Brother fired,

Daddy's work 'aint going alright.

Because of that friend,

Colors are what she now hated,

All because that girl said,

Rainbows are overrated.
