Chapter One

Matt

I first saw her about a week ago. Almost white blonde hair that ran down her back and silver eyes, she was a sight compared to the normal girls in the school. Some guys I knew talked about her with some disease, but I didn't really listen. Small and fragile looking, almost like a glass figure, I wondered if she even liked anybody at this school. No, I thought. She is probably seeing someone. I didn't talk to her, only saw her. She walked to an extravagent house everyday after school. She wore summer dresses and sweaters, dressing like royalty. A valedictorian, teachers worshiped her, but I always wondered why she would go to such a normal school when she seemed like she would want much better. Boys flirted with her, but she never would really pay much attention, and since I didn't want to be embarassed, I never tried. We were in two classes together, but she never talked. I only saw her smile once, and that was when she got her dog. She was one of those girls that guys like me could never really understand, but wanted to. I will talk to her by the end of the year.

Lilly

Ever since about a week or so ago, I knew there was a guy in two of my classes that gazed at me. He was in football, and I heard his name was Matt.He had green eyes and light brown hair. Girls swarmed over him, but I always caught him staring at me. When I walked home he would follow along, pretending he didn't even know me, but I knew he did. Apperently he was told about me having a sickness, Im suprised he hasn't asked. I knew he saw me get my new dog, Scotty, and it was odd to know somebody knew almost everything about me when he never talks to me. A lot of boys stare at me. I don't fit in with my school, but the hospital takes my parents money, they cant afford to put me in private schools. Girls call me a slut or a goody goody, and sometimes I believe them. On warm days they wear capris and I wear spring dresses my mother buys for me. One time I asked to wear jeans, she said I would look to common. I dont hang out with anybody at school, nobody really cares for me except for the teachers, though I think I might try to talk to Matt. Just maybe.

Chapter Two

Matt

Lilly Rumstead is her full name. Unsure of how to approach her, I just went with the one thing I knew she liked. Dogs. I felt a little stupid dragging around my Labrador Retriever ((Dreamer)) looking for her at a fancy park, knowing she has a small dog. Her dog is alot like her. Poofy with white curls and blue round eyes with a plaid collor, I heard a maid that works at Lillies house call "SCOTTY!" in the husky voice the maid had. I couldn't help but laugh at myself. Knowing I looked like a complete idiot trying to shove my dog through this fancy paradise, I turned around to head home, but something caught my eye. In the corner of the park sat Lilly, in a purple satin summer dress with a full skirt, a ribbon holding strands of her hair back, and another white ribbon wrapped gingerly around her small neck, she ran. She ran with her small dog dashing infront of her, laughing and stumbling over the hill. Fitting into the scene of other girls and boys running and playing with dogs and their friends, she smiled wide. My dog yelped at a dog that was nipping at his long wagging golden tail and dropped on the grass, this expression reading "You are gonna need a bulldozer to get me out of here!" I sighed and tied him to a thick pole near by and dropped by him feeling tired from hauling him around. Dreamer rolled on his back and looked at me as to say "A belly rubbing could do you good!" but I just rolled him again with a nudge of my foot. Sudennly, a shadow approached me as a kept nudging my dog. "You know," it said in a silky voice. "The dog doesn't like that."

Lilly

It was a relatively sunny day, so I decided to play with Scotty. I tried to sneak away in a pair of ripped jeans and tshirt I was barrowing, but mom caught me and told me to change into my spring dress. I nodded and changed. Scotty was happy to leave the house, his tail wagging fast and his big round eyes bigger. I linked the leash to his collar, which made him sad, but went anyways.
The park we went to is an old but local one. I like it, although I got grass stains all over the pearl dress. I shook my head and knew mom would yell. Scotty pranced happily, yelping if a dog came close, but soon he got used to it. I ran along with him, the dress slightly bothering me, but I should have kept running, and instead I looked up, there was that boy. Talk, Lilly, Talk.
