to comfort me.
i'd only ever thought
that you'd talk to me
laugh with me
take my hand.
i'd only ever asked you
to stay
to believe
to be yourself.
all you ever did
was steal my heart run
run off with it.
all you ever did
was make me fall in love with you
temptation
it racked my body like a crying jag.
all you ever did
was kiss my lips
a sense of completion
it soothed me forever.
all you ever did
was leave me
not understanding
it numbed my soul
like painkillers.
all you ever did
was make me miss you
depression
pushed me farther into the darkness.
and all i ever did
was love you
trust you
like you made sense.
