pretend to miss me
pretend to care
pretend to acknowledge
that i'm no longer there
plead for my presence
beg for my voice
amuse me
or lose me
you know it's your choice.
act
like i broke your heart
like you care
that i'm gone
please stop saying
that nothing is wrong.
say your world is in pieces
and
that i'm to blame
say you want things back
say you want things the same.
i can't stand your silence
or this post-breakup stage
i grip the phone with violence
my knuckles white in rage
i want you to call.
please tell me
your sadness is true
and distract me
sidetrack me
so that i don't
miss you.

I love the transitions and feeling. The structure was captivating and it flowed very well.
