I went out with a guy for six months, and ended up calling it off. However, both of us still really wanted to remain friends. The first few weeks were difficult, and that's when I wrote this poem.

Every Time

Every time I look at you,

my heart can't help but sigh.

All the pain I've put you through,

it makes me want to cry.

I hate how much I hurt you,

and for that

I hurt to.

I hope you can forgive me,

for all the pain I've put you through.

This is what happens,

every time I look at you.

Haha, thanks. He said he started to get choked up when he read it because he didn't realize he made me feel that way...
