I've been digging through some old work, and found this and realised this poem could symbolise two things.

The search for my other half had ended,
Separated by a door unable to touch
No longer a problem of hestitation
A problem of opportunity.

For one knows the chance is gone,
But not wanting to let go
Regret is the only thing that's left

The time for change to happen has passed,
Words are meaningless, fallen to deaf ears
Gestures and expressions lost to blind eyes.

The bell sounds mournfully,
The time to start over has begun,
From your door I hereby depart

Alone with nought but pity,
My heart is buried with you.
