My Chemical Romance is a leading band well known amongst music listeners. They are a popular band and are often referred to as a leading emo band.

Emo is a stereotype that has come into the focus of attention. Emos are stereotypically known to wear black, have large fringes that cover their face, the more extreme emos are known to self-harm and commit suicide. It is a stereotype that many teenagers have chosen to follow, the majority dress like one, but lack the personality of one, e.g. always depressed. I am often called an emo, I dress similar to one, but do not consider myself to be one, because I believe suicide to be a coward's way out, we are given a life, the most we can do is live it.

The Daily Mail, one of the leading tabloids in the United Kingdom has focussed hatred on emos and on the band My Chemical Romance. They claim that the stereotype of emo is really a "Suicide Cult" with My Chemical Romance being the leaders of the cult. They argue that My Chemical Romance promote suicide and self-harming amongst their fans.

A protest organised by http://www.whatthefrank.co.uk is set to take place in London on 31st May. This protest was designed to be a peaceful one to prove to the Daily Mail that My Chemical Romance do not promote suicide amongst their fans but saves them.
This protest is to start at 10am-10pm; it is their attempt to protect My Chemical Romance.

However, some individuals have taken it amongst themselves to "punish" the Daily Mail by planning to commit suicide after the protest march.
They claim that they are "standing up against the Daily Mail" and that they are "sick of their accusations against My Chemical Romance".
They believe that by committing suicide, they will be proving the Daily Mail wrong, and that the blame will rest on Daily Mail's shoulder that they drove these teenagers to suicide.

The sad thing is, these deluded teenagers who think they will be helping MCR will only destroy the band and everything the protest represents. The protest is to show everyone that emos are not suicidal and MCR are not promoting suicide. For those who plan to kill themselves to do so; will only give the Daily Mail more fuel to push their point. MCR will be ruined, these individuals believe that their suicides will god knows, be a sacrifice for the band? That they are "giving their everything for the band" And their everything is to kill themselves... and ruin the band by proving the Daily Mail correct.

These teenagers claim that their lives are terrible and not worth living, the only thing making it worth living is MCR. So they will sacrifice themselves to the band by "joining the Black Parade".

For those who do not know, there is a song by MCR called "Welcome to the Black Parade" it can be easily seen to mean the road to Death. These teenagers whom are planning to kill themselves have taken the metaphor too far.

The Black Parade, don't take it so seriously, it is NOT the march to death, so for those of you whom believe you are joining the Black Parade to death, well have fun. MCR will not be there to greet you, they will not thank you for their downfall, and they will hate you for ruining them.

It's come to the point when I don't know whether they should just kill themselves for being completely useless for giving up, or whether I should be sad that they are giving up their lives when they don't know how privileged and lucky they are. They have never suffered torture or lived in poverty. They do not know how lucky they are and the fact that they think they are depressed and live isn't worth living makes me so annoyed at them. The protest itself is a worthy cause, one worth fighting for, but those who kill themselves at the end of it will be the downfall of everything MCR stands for, and prove that the Daily Mail is correct.
