Soft wings fluttering like blinking eyes reining in tears.

Round and round it went,

To a spot where it wanted to perch.

A spot high up on a wall.

Such vivid hues of crimson, mustard and whites.

Stark black lines resembled spiders web.

A fine work of art on a fragile butterfly.

How pretty and abstract it looked against a black wall.

A spot on the wall that glowed.

Slowly the hours ticked by.

Strangely it stayed on the same spot.

Like a North star speaking to me.

Inviting, mesmerizing but out of reach.

Corner of my eyes,  a spark.

Turned my head  to look up.

A shooting star drew a white line across ultra bluemarine sky.

I wondered..

If that was you saying your hellos?

A glow from the wall, piercing the sky

spiralling towards me, through my eyes..

into my heart....

A gush of warmth poured over me.

I Thanked you

and I miss you so..
