Inspired by the murders of the jewish kids in France.

One day (remember me while I am still breathing).

One day they will see

One day

They will cry and weep over me.

They refer to me as if I was a thief, a criminal.

They refuse to acknowledge my existence, my past.

To them I am an animal.

Only when I’m gone do they think

-Do they reflect.

‘This boy, he did no wrong’

he did not hate

-I was alive

Alive and free

To be taken, taken away from-

My life, no value, I do not have a name

I have no shame.

I am a young Jewish boy

Proud and free

Trying to live.

Live in this world-

Protect me

Protect me while I am still breathing

Gift me the gift of life

Life is the greatest gift of all.

unfortunately events such as this are being forgotten and repeated every day. It was with a heavy hear that I wrote this poem.

I appreciate your feedback
