With chalk dust on my shoulder

My podium and manila folder

The desks are all in rows

Children wearing uniformed clothes

The bell rings at a certain time

And girls think guys are made of slime

Nap time is the best

They hate when they have to take a test

It's fun to watch them run around

But hard to make them all calm down

Snack time is what they know

And sometimes after that a puppet show

When it's time for parents to pick them up

They wave goodbye with their juicy cup

I give them kisses and always say

Tomorrow will be another day.
