I wrote this poem while in class because of something that had happened the night before and I needed to express my feelings.

Heart is damp and sorrowed

Not given, but something borrowed

Heavy and filled with disgust

Not sincere, but mistrust

Heaving and a loss of breath

Not gained, but failed the test

It hurt so bad, plain and clear

Not what I hope, but what I fear.
