A Heart’s Tale To Tell

I placed my heart, inside my head

And said  “Come in! Come in!

And sit a spell

I bet you have a tale to tell”

And so it told of Broken Love

That splinters to the core.

It beats, they sink and hit a nerve

Causing love, the more

It also tells tales of regret,

Of dreams it underpinned,

Of tomorrow, next time, and not just now,

Caution thrown to the wind.

Feel sorry, not for this poor heart

But have a word with yours

Hold it, gently, to your ear,

And hear it whisper words.
