"Sammy, I think we should go home.", I insisted, a hint of eagerness in my voice. Sammy looked at me with disappointed eyes, our eyes locked. She blinked, we instantly stopped staring into eachothers eyes. I sighed, I knew her answer. She looked at me," Don't waste another good Halloween party again!" , she said in a half-angry, half-horrified voice. I had a dumbfounded expression, I blinked in shock. " Have some candy corn.", she said in a velvet voice, she sighed. She rolled her eyes at me, she took my hand and wrapped it around mine, making it into a cup. She poured the candy corn in my hand, I was still shocked, I blinked a few times, just to make sure I wasn't having a nightmare. She walked away, she muttered something under her breathe, it was so low I could barely hear. It sounded like 'cry baby'. I winced in horror. "Natasha, come here!", I heard a familiar voice yell in the distance. I turned around to see Merissa, with her emerald eyes, her smile so bright. She was so much like a sun. I smiled, hiding the pain I just endured a few minutes ago. I went walking to her with a warm smile on my face. She smiled wider, her radiant smile, her teeth as white as snow. Her long, naturally curly black hair hanging down. A beautiful princess dress was on her, showing of her curves. " I can't believe you're here!" she squealed. " I know." I didn't let the disgusted tone leak into my voice. The sides of her lips pulled up to the sides, making her smile even wider, it was hard to believe a person could smile so wide and still look beautiful. Her ivory skin was astonishing, her cheekbones, her rosy cheeks. She was very bright for her age, she was only 10. Her dress as red as blood. She handed me some candy corn. I sighed, she simply reminded me of Sammy. Sammy was like her twin, but Sammy wasn't as pretty. I felt eyes on me while I was thinking. I looked up and saw Sammy talking to the person I hated the most. Sammy and Rachel were looking over at me, giggling. I gulped down the lump in my throat, I slowly went walking over to them. Merissa didn't even seem to notice. I wasn't noticed by anyone nowadays. Sammy saw me coming, she smiled evily. She wasn't her today, it was strange, frightening. I finally reached her and Rachel. Rachel had a disgusted face. Sammy smiled, her brilliant smile. " Hi, Natasha. ", she said my name like I was stupid. " We were just talking about you," she seemed like she was gonna continue, but she bit her tongue. "I see that.", I said bitterly. " Just go away, Natasha. We didn't call you over to ruin it.", Rachel said in a silky, evil voice. Sammy and Rachel laughed softly. I was holding tears back the best I could, I was scared of Rachel now. Sammy was the last to stop laughing, that cut into me like a knife. Sammy said in a thoughtful tone, " You're so funny, Rachel.", I was just standing there, watching them have a conversation like I wasn't even there. It didn't shock me anymore, Sammy joined the dark side. Tears welled up into my eyes, Rachel laughed at me, noticing. Sammy looked confused, she turned her face to me. Sammy started laughing with Rachel. I opened my mouth, ready to defend myself, but nothing came out but a gust of wind, where words couldn't fit. I felt a warm hand touch my arm, I turned my head to see Eric. I sniffled, holding back my tears the best I could. Eric looked worried, upset. I wanted to smile, but I didn't have the power to. Sammy sighed, she liked Eric, but Eric didn't notice her as much as he noticed me. " What's wrong?", Eric demanded, I looked at Sammy, then my eyes flickered to Rachel." Stupid liar!," Sammy screamed. My eyes quickly flickered to Sammy, shocked. She was the liar, obviously. Eric looked at Sammy in disbelief. Eric, he was simply the worlds best friend. His face was sculptured perfectly. His hair wooshed to the side, his olive-toned skin. His smile was outrageously gorgeous, his white-as-snow teeth shined when he smiled. I smiled at the thought of him. I seemed to forget the world for those fifteen long seconds. Eric grabbed my waist, he looked at Rachel and Sammy. "Leave her alone." he said in a demanding voice, it was scary to hear him with this voice. He started to tug me to the food table, where I saw Merissa smiling, waiting for my return. I didn't hesitate to start walkign with him, I looked behind me quickly just to see Sammy with a frustrated face, ruining her beautiful features. The pain dug deep into my heart, it stayed there. I didn't notice we got the the food table until I bumped into it. I gasped, Merissa laughed her tinkling laugh. Eric smiled widely at me, holding back a laugh. "It's okay, laugh.", I said in a mildly happy voice. I noticed Erics hand was still on my waist, holding me tightly, securely. I looked up at him, no expression showing. He took his hand away instantly, with an embarassing smile. I smiled, forgetting about Sammy and Rachel. I went home late that night, getting a grounding from my mom. I went into my room, looked into the mirror. I didn't see myself as beautiful, all I had was chocolate brown eyes, red, long silky hair. Cheek bones that popped out a bit more than the others, they thought of it as weird. I did too. My light pink cheeks with freckles that you can rarely see, my rosy colored lips, russet skin, and curvy curves. I noticed some candy corn on my bed beside me, from tonights party. I put my hair in a pony tail, sat infront of the mirror and watched myself eat the candy corn happily, I smiled at the fact Eric liked me better than Sammy. I was happy now, overly happy. I brushed my teeth after the candy corn, I brushed my teeth with my favorite tooth paste, it was bubble gum flavored. Though I hated the taste of bubble gum flavored tooth paste, but it kept my teeth as white as fresh snow, my russet skin made my teeth seem whiter than it was. I put on my favorite pajamas, relaxed. Until I drifted off into a deep, long sleep after the night of Halloween. The end.
