I had one teacher in high school that really went above and beyond for me. I see now just how hard being a teacher is and just how much of yourself you have to give on a day to day basis. I wrote this quickly while I was remembering things my teacher did for me.

Reaching with frozen fingertips.

Stare straight into your biggest regret.

Look down the barrel,

teaching with an incoherent lisp,

blank looks and sweaty foreheads.

Bite the bullet they've created.

Find me lost

or leave,

leave me found

or lose.

Challenge me with my televised memory

and my A.D.D and

I promise I'll never forget you.
