This is a poem I wrote when hope was alive and she was still with me. It's curious how the sense of one's own poem changes when the emotions have changed. It means something altogether different to me now compared to when I first wrote it.
Hope you like it.

My heart bleeds like a molten ruby,
in this daunting silence, oh so deep blue
I reside in a soft purple twilight
somehow with, and yet without you

A conjurists image of happiness,
splashed 'cross reality harsh
it fades like the walls of an edifice
Tropical gardens are truly dank Marsh.

In seeking and in having found you
I feel like I'm chasing you still
I'd like to possess you completely
I cant. I havent. Don't know if I ever will.

What words can express these feelings?
I know I'll learn to express them, in time.
hopes only prayer is that you're still with me
my heart prays you're still somehow mine
