One glass, two straws.

That used to describe my life.

Past tense used.

Now my cup feel so empty

Because truly we are meant to share.

One straw in a glass has too much room.

One straw gets lonely.

But my other straw was taken from the glass

By a car accident that he couldn't have avoided

One straw, just one.

I want my other straw back

To have, to share

Could you survive if your second straw

Was ripped from your cup?

Even if I can I'm not sure I want to.

I'd take anyone to fill the gap.

I do anything for a second straw

To put back into my empty glass.

If I killed myself

How sad my glass would be.

No, I do not plan suicide.

An empty glass is far worse

Than one half full.

I know I'm not the only girl

To have a broken heart,

But others must have felt this way too.

How could God take a lover

Knowing they have a hole in their cup?

If there is some other lonely straw

Reading this poem right now

Speak up because together

we could make perfection.

We could make

Two straws, One glass.
