"Metapoem?

Yeah. I met a poem the other day.

Wanna know how he's doing?

Terrible.

He says he's been stressed lately.

Everybody always HAS to talk to him about THEIR issues.

It's always the same things-

Love,

Hate,

Emotion,

Nature.

It's always so somber and serious.

I'm worried that poetry's started to develop a mental disorder--

Depression or something.

Oh, and anorexia.

They make him feel fat.

They keep trying to force him into outfits ten times too small for him.

Perfect structure, perfect grammar, not a single fragment or run-on.

Ever.

When you write poetry,

Please

Don't WRITE poetry.

Let poetry speak through your pen.

Listen to what he has to say.

Letting him advise you

Might accomplish more

Than a one-sided rant."
