SWAN DANCE

Nature doth confess its secrets in whisper so mellow

Hence weaveth an enticing web beyond my dark window

Which reveals to me a day with fiery joy so aglow

That doom’s veil doth in haste retreats its looming shadow.

My gaze doth immerse in a view of wildest enticement

My soul sings out a clamor of passion so buoyant

The birth of Snow’s reign in its power yet so nascent

Doth disclose the coming joys of a romance so gallant

For yonder, the blooming flakes revel in graceful swan’s dance

Doth seeks pleasure in the wild gallop of horses’ prance

Its twirling robes in horizons afar dazzle my glance

The frail waifs of hopes and joys’ trembling buds it doth enhance

Snow so pure doth to worlds yonder spread its white blanket

And doth embrace mountains atop and earth’s feet with velvet

An adornment beautiful as fairest maiden’s anklet

And the dewy morning rose’s yet most fragrant droplet

Snow, thy playful flakes doth revel in graceful swan’s dance

The world’s skies and lands thou doth cover the expanse

Thou art the harbinger of beauty’s grace and sweet romance

Thence beckons to mortal’s plea for hope’s ultimate chance.
