It was just another day, Henry had just woken up from his sleep.

1:46pm

He rolls out of bed, goes straight to the kitchen fridge as he usually does, looks in. Cold turkey, mayo, ice tea, milk, coke, Dr Pepper, pickles, can't be bothered eating. He grabs a can of Dr Pepper, goes back to his room, sits at his desk, his computers' been on all night. He wipes the crud out of his eyes and signs in on messenger.

Blue_Moon_Henry: Hi. No I don't recall a Scarlet, who are you?

Closes the chat box, and grabs his half pack of camels and a lighter by the ashtray, lights a cigarette and inhales, opens his Dr Pepper and looks at the screen. Scarlet_rose_78 pops up on the screen.

Scarlet_rose_78: hmmm I'll give you a hint

Henry puts down his cigarette, takes a gander out of the window at the neighbors house.

Blue_Moon_Henry: Oh ok. A neighbor perhaps?

Blue_Moon_Henry: Ohh.. Intriguing. Well there's no one in the house but me so you can't be in the house. Are you?

Henry laughs to himself, takes another puff of his cigarette and takes a gulp of his Dr Pepper.

Blue_Moon_Henry: Yes. So who are you really?

Blue_Moon_Henry: Doesn't matter, I like you anyway. lol :P

What? This chick.. or is it? Really IS close by.. Must be one of the guys fooling around.. but Kevin.. Joe, Max, Gord they're all out of town.. Steve lives 40 minutes away..The neighbors? The neighbors don't know my id? Who else? Lisa, Danielle, Jane they're at college too.. Mom? Nah, she wouldn't do something like this.. Definitely not dad.. Flo's not here either.. Henry takes a gulp of his Dr Pepper, and goes to the kitchen to fix some cereal.

Pours frosted cornflakes into a bowl, grabs some milk from the refrigerator puts the bowl on the center counter top. As he pours the milk and ponders Scarlet_rose_78, he looks to the right of the countertop at a stack of magazines, Garden Variety with a picture of a Scarlet Rose, he laughs to himself. Crazy...

Takes his cereal and heads back to his room, with three more messages from Scarlet_rose78.

Henry takes a spoon full and chews, stares at the screen Prove it? Prove I'm an idiot probably…

Well ok, what's it hurt…No harm in looking…

Henry puts his cereal down on the desk, and heads toward the window, and looks down at the garden. He see's the mapple tree and across the grass at the rose bushes, scans the roses from bush to bush, everything seems normal until he see's it. One particularly scarlet rose closing and opening from bud to bloom, over and over.. once, twice, three, four.. Henry steps back, stares blankly at the bottom the window frame his pupils dialated and heart racing. It looked real... but it can't be, how would anyone get a rose to do that? It must be fake... Oh yeah, a fake rose, special effects... Who would play such an elaborate prank on me??

Henry looks back out into the garden, the rose is still.

Scarlet_rose_78: hmmm

Blue_Moon_Henry: I don't know who yuo are, but that was some trouble you went to get me..

Henry rushes downstairs out the garden door, his heart pumping, and heads toward the rose over the grass, he looks at it for a second, it looks real, then puts his hand on it to figure it out, the rose closes suddenly. Henry jumps back slightly, staring at the rose, it looks and felt too real to be fake. The rose opened again slowly "Henry."
