i listen to this song
it helps to bring the memories
and feelings ive felt so long
its like someone you love saying "please"
begging you to do something
but you know better
if i could only give everything
itd be like standing in the rain
were all soaked, but we only get wetter
id ask you to listen, but i know youre full
my heart was willing, but i havent got the soul
i asked once.. take me anywhere
but i cant open my eyes,
to see if were there
theres too much hope
too many fears
just a dream by which i cope
shades to hide the tears
i wish for a melody
like first light of first day
ripples on a tranquil sea
someone with something new to say
Or just a better way to speak:
let this cup be drank
If i can stomache it
If i wasnt made too weak.
Sip after sip, we wont abstain
look around, our heads are spinning
i hope this wont cause you too much pain
But it was all perception, loosing and winning
Now were on this one-way journey, no returning
and its like we got further and further from the beginning
supported by everyone's broken heart, still yearning
We didnt like walking on the tracks, so we tore them apart
We had eachother's backs, "young and free"
But now were right back at the start
I cant see you, and you dont know me
Now its the morning, and im still awake
Something is coming, youve had all the signs
All you saw before this might just be fake
Dont say youre not fucked up enough
to read between the lines
weve all had more giving up than we can take
This is what i call Loving tough.

This is my body, these are the scars ive made.
This is my blood, look at the price i paid.
