Three relatively short poems; each one attempting something different. I have yet to name two of them so I seperated them using dashes. Let me know your thoughts.

NOTE: This is the draft for 3 seperate poems that I have decided to lump together in one post.

Beneath the final murky ray

of timid light afraid and sparse

Entranced I stare into this dream

A shattered mirror

I sift through fragments of reflection

For the humanity I’ve lost but

Find only gleaming motifs

of my vacant eyes returned

The past I seek to reassemble and

lacerate my hands on jagged edges

of broken faith that screams “believe”

Yet I feel nothing

Still I glare into the shards of glass

Too numb to want and yet engaged

Until I find this single truth:

There lingers reality

and I am just its shadow...

When I’m with you

My breath is lost, my heart it pounds

I reach the height of love’s embrace

I’m swung so free above the ground...

by the noose

Around my neck.

Writhing through my mind i lost

All grasp of what was real and not

My labyrinth heart of vacant holes

I filled with words to ward the cold

But water in a broken vase...

So I ran the blade across my wrist

Wanting blood and bleeding ink

Displeased i dressed it with a sheet

Of paper found beneath my feet

And this poem is the stain it left
