This is season 1 of a new series I am writing called Young Officers. It tracks both the cases and the lives of a group of rookie police officers and their veteran police officers.
(I wrote this story in the form of a television show, so instead of just having chapters it has episodes and seasons. I know that I will write at least 2 seasons worth of episodes, with each season having 9 or 10 episodes.)

Young Officers Season 1, Episode 1: The Reasons We Live

This is season 1 of a new series I am writing called Young Officers. It tracks both the cases and the lives of a group of rookie police officers and their veteran police officers.
(I wrote this story in the form of a television show, so instead of just having chapters it has episodes and seasons. I know that I will write at least 2 seasons worth of episodes, with each season having 9 or 10 episodes. I will try to upload new episodes at least once every one to two weeks, so make sure to check back)

Young Officers, Season 1, Episode 2: The Mistakes We Make

Matt and four other rookie police officers come to New Haven, Connecticut, joining the young officers program to help their policing careers, though the program is not the reason Matt chose this city. While meeting the veteran officers, Matt sees the police officer who saved his life years ago, the man who made him want to become an officer himself, Lieutenant Jim Murphy. Jim, however, doesn't seem to remember Matt or does not care and chooses another officer as his partner.
Matt and his partner Mark pursue a robbery suspect only to wind up getting shot at, causing Matt to panic, freeze, and question his reasons for becoming a cop
Brittany hides her reason for becoming a cop, and Brett appears to hide some details of his past as well.

Young Officers, Season 1, Episode 3: The Dangers We Face

Rookie officers Matt, Alicia, Brett, Brittany, and Raymond arrive at New Haven, joining the young officers program to help improve their policing careers.
Matt reveals his reason for choosing New Haven isn't for the program, but only to meet the officer who saved his life years ago, Lieutenant Jim Murphy
Raymond and Alicia receive the biggest case yet, but it proves too strenuous for Alicia when she performs a simple mistakes which results in one woman's death, and the kidnapping of two others resulting in her termination. Matt uses this opportunity to switch his partners to Jim, but also warns Captain Johnson that he made a mistake in firing Alicia.

Young Officers, Season 1, Episode 4: The Loyalty We Have

Five rookie officers arrive at New Haven to enter the young officers program to begin their policing careers. One rookie officer, Matt, reveals the true reason he came to New Haven wasn't to join the program, but to meet the man who saved his life, Jim Murphy.
Alicia and Raymond receive the biggest case yet, but a simple mistake from Alicia costs one woman her life, and Alicia her job.
Matt, seeing Jim without a partner requests a change of partners, and the captain allows it, leaving Mark without a partner.
Matt attempts to organize the rookie officers against the captain's decision to fire Alicia, though some officers aren't in agreement.
Mark pulls over a man for a simple traffic stop, and ended up getting shot in the process. The remaining eight officers must balance the priorities of two major cases at the same time.

Raymond and John try to some the disappearance of a fourteen year old girl and try to connect their case to Mark's shooter
Jim, Matt, Brittany, and Andrew continue to interrogate their suspect
Jane and Brett try to learn the identity of Mark's shooter by tracing the identity of the owner of the red Mustang
