I don't want to ruin it for people who like to interpret it the way they want to.

note: When I use the words "god" and "pray" don't take it in the literal way that common society interprets those words.

However, if you really want to know, just read this below backwards.

John Saltz was born without a leg and never wanted help
He abhorred the wicked, useful world, and loved the handful dealt
He lived and thought an ocean vessels curdled, rusty belt

The screeching of a faceless dog, he only felt his shame
A curved breast, a trusted teacher, become one and the same
He always said, always out-loud, that his hands were not to tame

Bedsheets mangled, curtain tossled, he was now newly born
A devils tool, a god-sent cut, a feeling to adorn
He only whispered, never screamed, but inside, his friends forewarn

Poor old stumpy Joseph Saltz was with his friends no more
But now he felt his heart of hearts drag below the floor
He now knew only what he wanted, emotions only to soar

That vicious cotton, pointed eyes, the orders from above
He had no god, and worked on feelings, he wish he knew no love
The saddest truth of his tainted soul was that he knew only of
A poor old man, though newly made, had presents from his glove

With one swift stroke he did kill John when two old bodies lay.
All left was an empty man, who wished that he could only pray.
With one last slap, now past-tense thoughts, his emptiness decay.
Rich young John was now somebody, but nothing ever came.
